The Meltdown Drags Association is a group of like-minded guys and gals that simply want to recreate a specific time in drag racing history. They chose 1966 and older for cars and that is the era they want to focus on. A time when gassers were king!
I created two posters for the association to sell at their 2014 event. The money raised by selling these items supports putting on the event and the giveaways for the racers.
For the design direction, I chose to keep the colors limited to the brand colors. I also wanted to give the posters a vintage screen printed feel by using halftones and vintage source material.
